The current reality is that grocery budgets are tight for everyone, and we know that healthy options are sometimes the first to go. The Deb and Jeff Hansen Foundation is passionate about fighting hunger throughout Iowa, especially when prices are the way they currently are. We know this doesn’t leave children and families many options at the store, so we are so glad to know that the PowerSnack coupons help support the grocery budget for many.
2,300 PowerSnack coupons were delivered to Howard-Winneshiek Community School District today to provide hunger relief and stability for many students and families. These coupons contain $8 in deli ham and $3 for a loaf of whole wheat bread. The booklets also contain recipe ideas for deli ham that extend beyond a ham sandwich and match any of our three main meals throughout the day.
Ham truly is a versatile protein, and we are proud to provide this healthy and nutritious protein to Iowans across our Homegrown Iowa communities.
